Migration has been legal for hundreds of years.  Legal migrants can become citizens. 

  • Without official documents from their own country, they will always be illegal migrants in any country.
  • Without official documents from their own country, they can not start any legal migration process.  
  • Without official documents from their own country, they can not hold inclusive elections in Haiti? 
  • Without official documents from their own country, they become vulnerable. 

It is very unfortunate that the majority of Haitian migrants lack the required official documents or passport to initiate a regular migration process, Regardless of color, nationality or religion other groups of migrants usually have the required documentation.

Migration, is a global phenomenon and should not be condemned. If it follows the legal procedures established by each receiving country migrant people would be in legal status.
